Happy Day

Day 5: A picture of my morning.

Quite literally the first things I see every morning. The light coming through my windows. And my baby.

After I woke up this morning I got ready for church. Sunday mornings I volunteer with the elementary program and I have the sweetest group of 5th and 6th grade girls. Since it was Halloween today, everyone dressed up.
Aren't we cute? Us leaders had to dress 80's, so there I am. Have a Happy Halloween everyone!

Day 5: Picture of where I went.
Well, I ran errands today, but I have no pictures, so there goes that. Senior Seminars and church tonight. Relatives here right now. Fun, fun, fun. I'm a lot tired, can you tell? Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

This is Outrageous

Day 4- A picture of what I did today. Well, besides school and cross country practice, my sisters' school was having their fall festival tonight, so I was helping with that from 4 to 9. Awesome right? Oh, I'm so exhausted.
This is just inside the gym. There was a bunch of crap outside too.

I was working in that square made up of tables. I was serving food. That screen on the back wall was for Rock Band. 4 straight hours of kids trying to play and sing Eye of the Tiger has left me with a large headache and a strong dislike of that song.

My main task was getting drinks. Iced tea, coffee, lemonade, and hot chocolate. Ka chow.

See? Look at this mess.
Well, that's it for me tonight. I'm going to bed. Happy Friday!

Day 2

Today is a picture of what I wore.
What I wore: plaid shirt from Costo, gray "Shape my Heart for Change" t-shirt from my church, and straight-leg boyfriend jeans from Gap
Why I wore it: Plaid makes me happy. I love my 'lumberjack' shirts. They keep me warm and I especially love the color of this one. The t-shirt is from my mission trip this past summer. Our whole team wore them and we looked totally legit walking through LAX. The jeans are just my jeans. I like these ones because they are straight leg and they look rather good on me, so I've heard.

30 Days of Pictures

Since I'm new to the blogging world, I've decided to give myself something to blog about. This is just 30 days of photos. It will be a different photo subject every day and with it will be a little background on the subject(s) of the photo. Today is simply a picture of me.
As you can tell, my room is a mess. It's always a mess, even though I'm never home. I have just enough time to throw stuff on the floor, but not enough to pick it up again. My hair is curled because I took my senior pictures for the yearbook today. I never curl my hair because I never feel like doing more with it than blowing it dry after I wash it. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to my hair. I wish I had more of an interest in making my hair cute, but whenever I try something new, it doesn't come out, so there it is, the same thing, day after day.

Correction

I know I said that my sister's new dog is a girl, but that seems not to be the case. Someone doesn't understand how to figure out what gender a dog is. My goodness.
Glee is on tonight!
I have two minimum days this week!
Cross country season is almost over!
I just have so much to be thankful for. Thank you, Jesus.

Picture Intensive

In light of the fact that my sister got a new dog on Friday, this post is dedicated to the obscene amount of pets this household has. As you all know already I have a cat named Smudge. She is exclusively mine. I also have another cat, Snickers, who thinks she is a dog.

We have a third cat, but she belongs to my other sister. This cat of hers is no friend of mine.
We also have three dogs (plus the puppy my sister just got). Their names are Andy, Teddy and Bear.
Andy is the big dog, Teddy is the smaller one and Bear is the black one.
The puppy my sister just got has been named Boo, since she is black and Halloween is only a week away. My family isn't very original in distributing animal names.
Cute right?

In other news, it is finally getting cold! I'm so excited about the imminent arrival of winter. It is so time to bust out my scarves and gloves and hats and jackets! This is the time for flannel sheets and hot cocoa, although this may be the winter I start drinking coffee. Heaven knows I'll need it. Tomorrow is, unfortunately, Monday. Hopefully this week goes by faster than last week did.

Drama

*image via google*
Holy crap. That's really all I can say on the subject. Man, it's so unnecessary. I mean seriously, what is this, eighth grade? Ugh.

Sorry about that. I just needed to vent since almost everyone that I would vent to normally is involved in this crap. So in other news, one of my best friends was in a car accident today. Her car was totaled but thank God no one got seriously hurt. I'm struggling in my economics class, but I only have to cope for another quarter and then the semester will be over and we get to switch to government. Fun. My lit class has finally moved to something remotely interesting-Doctor Faustus. We're going to tackle Shakespeare next. Joy. I finished the sixth Harry Potter book but am going to take a little break before I start the seventh. I still don't understand the obsession, but whatever. I did, however, almost pee my pants when I saw the trailer for the movie. I can't wait! To occupy my time, I am reading this amazing book called Be Intolerant by Ryan Dobson. It is so good. Definitely read it if you are looking for what a Christian's attitude should be towards today's oober tolerant society. Tomorrow is Friday!!!!!!

I almost forgot! How to Train Your Dragon comes out on DVD tomorrow! Yay! I LOVE this movie.

Yikes!

So I got some really big news this week. The University of New Mexico accepted me!
*image via google*
I couldn't even open the envelope I was so excited! I am so thankful. UNM is my first choice and I don't want to be anywhere else. The Cal-State and UC systems opened last Friday and all of my friends are freaking out about their applications and stressing about being accepted. It is such a relief to not have to worry about that. I do not envy them. I am also currently on a Lady GaGa thing. I don't really like her lyrics, but her voice is pretty interesting and I like the music. My grandparents flew in on Tuesday and will be here until Thursday. Things are pretty hectic around here, but I'm managing pretty well. Also, I mentioned in a previous post that I've been convinced to read Harry Potter. I must admit that I'm enjoying them. I just finished the fifth book, which was horribly boring and ended with the death of my favorite character (which I'm still bitter over, by the way). So far, the third book has been my favorite. We shall soon see how this progresses, haha. My goodness, I've overloaded you with text. My bad.

Exhaustion

Today was so great. A friend of mine had an extra ticket to a UCLA game and she invited me to go with her. Unfortunately, UCLA won, but I still had a great time. I can't wait until college football is a regular part of my life. It's like high school football, but waaaay better. The plays are more intense, and the the feats are more impressive. I had such a great time.
At half-time, the visiting bands played Bad Romance by Lady GaGa. How awesome is that?
