Ditching is Fun

So, the beach didn't work out today, but Senior Ditch Day was awesome anyway. My friend Katie and I decided to drive down to Victoria Gardens, an out-door shopping mall somewhat close to where we live. We had so much fun. The weather was gorgeous and we walked around to our hearts' content. We went into a high end pet store to look at the puppies they had for sale, and then looked in H&M, Forever 21, Hot Topic, Claire's and Aeropostale. We, being the nerds that we are, proceeded to spend a full 30-45 minutes in Border's, which is a book store. We both really love to read. After Border's, we got some Panda Express and wandered around a little more. That was when we saw the Apple store and decided to go in. We spent a full hour in there. We played with the MacBook Pro for a little while, but mostly we played with the iPhone 4. I think I'm in love. That phone is amazingly cool. Apple has some really nice products with some really nice features. I'm exhausted, so I'm going to sleep now. Sorry if this post is a little all over the place, but if I didn't blog about this now, it would have been another week before I got to it.

Single Digits

Hello again! I have nine school days left. Nine! It's still about twelve school days until I graduate, but school I am done with in nine days. I'm so exited! Tomorrow is senior ditch day, so I will be at the beach with some friends of mine. I love the beach, and that's one of the things I'll miss when I move to land-locked New Mexico. Tonight, in honor of not having to get up for school in the morning, I went to see Thor with two of my friends. I really liked it. The guy who played Thor was very good looking. He reminded me of Heath Ledger a bit, which made me sad and happy. I love Heath Ledger. He was an amazing actor. I saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean last week. I went to the midnight showing, actually, even though it was on a school night. I'm a pretty big fan of that particular franchise, and the fourth movie was better than I thought it would be. Penelope Cruz did not suck as much as I thought she would, which was a nice surprise. That being said, I still feel very strongly that they should have ended the series after number three. Three would have been a good end point. Now they have to do more to get to that point again and I think the franchise will die a self-imposed death. I love Jack Sparrow (and Johnny Depp) and he deserves better than that. The dialogue of that movie was really good though. It was witty and gave the movie a nice flow, since the plot and scene changes were a tad choppy. Sorry, rant on movies is done now. I'll be back with another post this weekend documenting our beach trip and the other things I did during this glorious four day weekend.

Prom!

Prom was amazing. I had such a good time. The venue was awesome, the food was actually really good and it seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves. After we got back to school, at like 2 in the morning, my friend Katie and I went to Denny's for onion rings and french fries. Yum. Here's some pictures from the event. I'll probably be posting more as people upload to Facebook, but this is what I have so far.
Me and Katie before the dance,

and on the bus.

Our boat.

Me and my friend Kyle.

Me, Tawny, Katie and Arpita before boarding the boat.

Me and my friend Kendra. (We were on the roof of the boat, and it was cold and windy.)

Hanging out on the lower level.

Back on the roof after the wind died down. Plus, we were hot from dancing. :)

Our big huge, giant group. Prom was such a blast and I am so glad that I went. I didn't think, as a freshman, that I would bother with prom, but it was a fun, worthwhile experience.

My Life in the Past Week or So

Things are finally calming down. I finished my AP tests this week. I think I passed them all, with the exception of Spanish. I hope I passed it, but I'm not sure that I did. Swim is done. League finals were last week and we were awesome. The banquet was tonight at my house, since we have a pool. I got thrown in, since I was the girls' captain.
I went to an Angels' game with my brother on Tuesday. We had so much fun, and the Angels won, so that's a bonus.

Prom is tomorrow! I'm getting my hair done in the morning and then my friend is coming over so we can help each other get ready. We're going down to Long Beach to spend the evening on a huge yacht. It's going to be so much fun and I really can't wait. I promise to take a bunch of pictures and do a huge prom post on Sunday or Monday. School is winding down. There's about twenty senior days left between now and graduation. Its getting so close! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself. There's so many good, end of the year things to look forward to. I feel like May just started and now we're two whole weeks in. I hope the rest of the month goes by this fast.      :)
